Document version 2026-09-14. This is not a set of Terms being prepared for current application. View the current Terms of Service
These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and the operator in connection with Roast Pi (the “Service”).
For details about withdrawal from purchases, cancellation of recurring payments, and refunds for paid services, see the Refund and Subscription Cancellation Policy.
1. Purpose
These Terms establish the conditions and procedures for using the Service, user rights and obligations, and the scope of the operator’s responsibilities.
2. Accounts
Users must provide accurate, current information and are responsible for managing their accounts.
3. Data and Uploads
Data uploaded by users is processed only to the extent required to provide the Service. A separate Privacy Policy governs retention periods and processing methods.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator may limit liability for indirect loss arising from service interruptions, data loss, errors in prediction results, or similar events.
5. Changes to These Terms
The operator may amend these Terms to the extent that the amendment does not violate applicable law and will post notice of changes on the website.
6. Inquiries
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
7. Customer Data
Rights held in data that a customer enters or stores in the Service remain with the customer or other lawful rights holder. The company does not acquire those rights merely through these Terms.
The company processes customer data only as necessary to provide the recording, storage, backup, synchronization, and requested analytics features used by the customer. Specific details and legal grounds for processing personal information are governed by the Privacy Policy and any required individual notice.
Use of data to train and validate a shared AI model offered to multiple customers and to develop products is limited to the records, purposes, period, and scope stated in a separate data-use consent. Agreement to these Terms is not treated as consent to that use.
The company does not disclose or sell a customer’s original profiles to other customers. It limits access by personnel and service providers to what is needed for authorized purposes and protects the confidentiality of customer data.
Customers may withdraw AI data-use consent in Settings. Upon withdrawal, new collection and use and the handling of training copies follow the separate consent notice. Withdrawal alone does not delete the customer’s original service records that remain stored.
The company does not restrict use of the contracted core service or plan features solely because AI data-use consent is declined or withdrawn. Before expanding use to new fields or purposes, it first establishes a lawful basis, including any required notice and consent.
